So you have an idea, you have a vison and goal and know a little bit about different process's. now lets decide what products, materials or substrate will best serve you.

Blocks out anything it is laid over the top of. It has a grey or black back side that covers whatever you lay it over. These vinyl's are used when you want to light up the vinly from behind. For instance if you were using in a lightbox and wanted it to glow at night. These materials have a very high transparency backer to allow for the most light allowed during manufacturing.
These vinyl's are manufactured to an exact color you are looking for. While all material for printed projects starts white, then we add color via a printing process. Die cuttable or Dyed vinyl's are made to specific pantone or color swatches right from the manufacture. Ask for a sample book if you are looking for this option. This is a rather new say 10 years or so highly sought after product. It has many uses for indoor applications and is easy to apply and remove. Think of the FAT HEAD company, as they pioneered printing large stickers for your kids wall that go on and off easily. This product comes in Extra Strength, Block-out and Wall Graphic. Not recommended for outdoor use.
These perforated style vinyl's are similar to regular vinyl other than a bunch of tiny holes throughout. These vinyl's come in many different hole patterns for clarity and visibility These are called out by percentages based on the pass through of light. IE 50/50 or 70/30 Meaning if you have an office window and you want the best print quality and image coverage you may choose a 50/50 perf. This means 50% of available surface is printable and 50% of surface or lack there of are holes. If you want to wrap the back window of your vehicle which safety is of concern, you may want to or should I say HAVE to use a 70/30 to keep a clear view. The holes in the perforated vinyl are larger allowing more light and more sight than the alternate. Meaning only 30% of the surface is available for the image. Making larger fonts and larger designs more beneficial. We will talk about that later on in the creative section.

It is a heavy-duty 1000 x 1000 denier with a front-lit matte finish that helps reduce glare and promote readability- This can be printed on with many different types of process's. Mesh banner was essentially created to allow air to flow without losing your image quality. There are also like perforated vinyl, different levels of mesh, however there is a most commonly used mesh in the market place. These banners are mostly used for OUTDOOR applications that take the safety of air transfer into consideration. If you apply a regular banner to a fence, the wind might blow down the fence before the banner fails. However if you apply a mesh banner to the fence, they both let air flow, allowing you to sleep better on windy days.
